Bodytite FAQ

WHAT IS BODYTITE?

BodyTite is a great solution for individuals who are looking to reduce fat without the saggy, wrinkly skin. It also helps improve skin laxity after weight loss or due to aging. BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that shapes, contracts and lifts without a scalpel or scar. BodyTite uses RFAL (Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis) technology that addresses some of the shortcomings associated with traditional liposuction or surgical body lifts.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

If you can imagine it, you can do it: stomach, back, arms, chest, knees and inner/outer thighs are some of the most common treatment zones. Multiple areas can be treated in one visit. Each zone will take approximately 15 minutes of treatment.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Results can be seen immediately, with best results noticeable after 6 months, and continuing up to 12 months.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

Depending on the treatment area, downtime can be from 1-2 days up to 10 days.

BODYTITE EFFECTS:

BodyTite gently treats fat in stubborn areas while tightening the skin, helping you sculpt your body into its ultimate shape.

Facetite FAQ
WHAT IS FACETITE?

FaceTite is a new procedure that is comparable to a surgical facelift, without the scars. FaceTite provides dramatic improvement in skin laxity on the face and neck, which was previously only attainable through a surgical procedure such as a facelift. FaceTite utilizes minimally invasive radio-frequency energy to melt fat and tighten skin.

WHAT KIND OF PROCEDURE CARE IS REQUIRED?

FaceTite is a minimally-invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia or light sedation. Postprocedure, patients can go home and resume regular activities shortly after. Wearing a compression garment is required for best results.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

Any areas on the face and neck with saggy skin can be treated. This includes the double chin, jowls and other areas with deep lines and loose skin.

HOW IS THIS BETTER THAN A FACELIFT?

By avoiding an excisional facelift procedure, patients will be scar free and will benefit from reduced post-procedural swelling and discomfort. This is a less traumatic process with a natural looking final result.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Results can be seen immediately, with best results noticeable after 6 months, and continuing up to 12 months.

WHAT ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Although these effects are rare and expected to be transient, any adverse reaction should be immediately reported to the physician. Side effects may include any of those conditions listed below. Side effects may appear either at the time of treatment or shortly after treatment.

The side effects may include:

Discomfort
Excessive skin redness (erythema) and/or swelling (edema)
Damage to natural skin texture (crust, blister, burn)
Change of pigmentation (hyper-or hypo-pigmentation)
Scarring
Infection
Nerve Injury: Facial and body nerve branch injury–weakness of affected areas
Hyperactivity–temporary change in smile or any facial expression
Temporary numbness/tingling in the area treated

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?

Treatment areas will have dressings and/or a pressure garment to be removed in 48 hours. According to the physician’s instructions, wear the garment 24/7 for at least one week post treatment. Wear compression garments 12 hours per day for the second week post treatment. Wound care: Let soapy water wash over the incision sites (do not scrub) then apply antibiotic ointment to the incision points twice daily for one week while the skin is healing after initially removing the pressure garment.Tiny scabs may appear during the healing process. Please do not pick at the scabs.

Cleanse the treated areas gently with mild soap such as Cetaphil or Cerave and water after 48 hours. Avoid drying or irritating facial products including Retinol and acids (Salicylic, Glycolic, etc.) for 3 weeks after the procedure. Do not rub or irritate the area. Although these effects are rare and temporary, redness and swelling may last up to 3 weeks and are a part of a normal reaction to the treatment. Bruises occur in some people and last 1 to 2 weeks and are a normal reaction to the treatment. Some patients report a burning sensation, tingling or a tightening sensation in the treatment area for up to 3 months. Limit physical activity and exposure to excessive heat (including fires) and UV light for 2 wks. For facial and neck procedures: Sleep on several pillows or in a recliner to keep your head elevated for at least two to three days to help minimize swelling. Minimize talking and chewing for 48 hours. We recommend following a soft diet for the first 48 hrs. Make-up may be applied as soon as 72 hours after the procedure to cover any redness or bruising. Avoid the incision points that may still be healing. If treatment was done on the face or neck, facial shaving should only be done with an electric razor for the first week.

Burns and changes in pigmentation are rare although may occur. If you notice small white bumps, they may take a few weeks to resolve. Only take prescribed pain medication or Tylenol for pain relief (not both) after your procedure, unless instructed otherwise. Other pain relievers such as Aspirin or NSAIDs (i.e. Advil, Motrin,Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aleve, etc.) can thin the blood and cause bleeding or bruising. The only exception to this rule is if your primary care doctor has prescribed you to take a daily Aspirin, NSAID, or other blood thinner. Take all antibiotics unless instructed otherwise. Do NOT drink alcohol for several days as instructed by the doctor after this procedure. Drinking alcohol can negatively affect healing and can cause thinning of the blood, bleeding, crustingand/or bruising. Remember, although the skin has initially healed, it takes 3-6 months before any changes in skin tightening can be perceived AND twelve months before final results in skin tightening can be appreciated.
