What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a unique laser skin rejuvenation procedure that significantly reduces diffuse redness and improves skin tone. Laser Genesis combines preferential heating of the microvasculature and gentle heating of the dermis to improve skin texture, shrink pore size, diffuse redness and reduce wrinkles.
Who can receive Laser Genesis?

Does Laser Genesis stimulate collagen?
Yes Laser Genesis does produce new collagen. In a recently blinded study, the Laser Genesis treatments were proven to produce new collagen. Electron microscopy analysis was used to measure the diameter of the dermal collagen fibers after treatment. Analysis proved there was a statistically significant decrease in the collagen fiber diameter resulting in the production of new collagen- increasing skin firmness and skin texture.
How to prepare for Laser Genesis?
Discontinue use of all topical prescription gel, cream or foams being used on the area to be treated, 5 days before treatment. Discontinue use of all retinols, alpha hydroxy acid, salicylic acid and vitamin c serums or creams, 48 hours prior to treatment.
Is the treatment painful?
The Laser Genesis procedure is comfortable. There is a gentle heating of the dermis.

Avoid sun eposure and use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent
further sun damage.
If a blister develpos, treat as a wound.
Bruising, redness, and swelling may occur and resolve with time.
Urticarial reaction (hive-like/bug-bite look) may occur and usually resolves
in 1-2 days.
Avoid heat (hot tubs, saunas, hot showers etc.) for 1-2 days.
Avoid skin irritants such as tretinoin, retinol, retin-a, benzoyl peroxide,
glycolic/salicylicacids and astringents for a 3-5 days post-treatment.
How long/how many treatments are needed to see results?
Laser Genesis must be administered in an every 2 week for 6 treatments, schedule to get best results. There are results noticed after the first treatment but best results are noticeable after the 6th treatment.
